I have a play therapy office that has a variety of toys, games, and a sand-tray. Children are developing their verbal expression and often find it hard to adequately express how they feel. Play is an activity that comes naturally to children, and an easy way for them to convey their feelings. Through the play, I help them process their feelings, increase emotional regulation, and improve their ability to be successful.
Regular parent meetings are an important part of my work with children. During these meetings, we can discuss your child’s activities during the therapy sessions and any progress made. In addition, I provide support for how to help your child at home and/or school. I also invite parents to keep in touch in between sessions with any information they think is helpful, or questions they might have.
If you are concerned about your child and are seeking guidance on how best to help your child, please feel free to contact me at kathleen@drhagino.com or (650) 383-7655. I am happy to speak with you and help you find support if needed.
